TensarTech TW1 Wall System

The TensarTech TW1 Wall System, developed as an alternative to traditional retaining wall options, offers both versatility and substantial savings in cost and construction time.

It consists of a pre-cast concrete modular block facing securely connected to Tensar uniaxial geogrids which reinforce the soil mass behind and create a strong and durable, minimal maintenance retaining wall with a design life of up to 120 years (to see how easy construction is, watch our animation here.

The TW1 concrete facing blocks which form an 86^o face angle, are simply dry-laid usually with no need for cranes or propping. The weight of the standard 150mm high block is suitable for manual handling. Their geometry allows curves, corners, stairs and other features to be easily incorporated, with a range of colours available. A specialist TW1 Link System option with a vertical face and stainless steel ties is also available to allow a masonry or brickwork facing skin to be tied to the structure, to match any specific site aesthetic requirements.
