Offering substantial savings in cost and construction time over traditional methods, such as reinforced concrete, the versatile TensarTech Mesa Wall System can prove the ideal solution for earth retaining walls and bridge abutments.
Its pre-cast concrete modular blocks, securely connected to Tensar uniaxial geogrids which reinforce the soil mass behind; create a strong and maintenance free structure with a design life of up to 120 years. The patented connectors are designed to enable the wall face to be constructed at either a slight angle or near vertical. This can be advantageous when abutting other structures.
Available in a range of attractive finishes, the segmental blocks are simply dry-laid usually without crane lifts or propping, using unique connectors that act as a shear key, allowing walls to be built near vertical or with a slight batter. The geometry of the blocks also allows curves, corners, stairs and other features to be easily incorporated.
