Underlying Voids
Underlying Voids - Void Spanning
When there is a danger of collapse into underlying voids,
a reinforced basal layer may be constructed by using either Tensar biaxial
geogrids
with
granular
fill to form a stiffened raft, or Tensar Basetex, as a tensioned membrane,
to span over voids. In certain locations this solution can avoid the high cost
associated with the location and treatment of the potential causes of voids.
